BIMx and Google Cardboard
If you use ARCHICAD for design, but haven't yet heard of (or tried) BIMx, you need to!
With BIMx you can view your projects in Virtual Reality, using the very inexpensive Google Cardboard.
All you need to do is place your iOS or Android smart phone within the Cardboard headset and voila - you have an immersive VR view of your project, allowing you to fully understand the implications of the spaces you have designed.
How it all works
First you'll need to install BIMx for your smart phone from the App Store or Google Play.
Then you'll need to get your hands on a Google Cardboard from one of the many online suppliers. If you are in New Zealand, you can drop in to PB Tech or buy from their website.
