We are seeking an enthusiastic architect/technician with at least 5 years experience who enjoys detail design work and documentation. The ideal candidate will have sound experience in architectural design and a thorough understanding of NZ building construction codes and standards. Your role will involve the production of architectural design and construction documentation on a variety of high end residential, commercial and interior fit out projects, under the direction of a senior architect or design director. Experience in contract administration and site observation will be an advantage. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of building materials, construction techniques and attention to detail.
Essential Skills:
• Fully competent in ARCHICAD
• Technical competence in building construction and working knowledge of NZBC
• Understanding of the building process and design documentation
• An ability to work with and coordinate with other consultants
• Able to work to deadlines without compromising quality
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
Desirable Skills:
• Competence in 3D presentation techniques and computer modelling using ARCHICAD / Artlantis
• Experience on building sites and contract administration
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of working drawings and contract documents for medium to large scale residential and commercial projects
• Preparing specification documents
• Contract administration and site observation
